A mixed-methods UX research study on how everyday smartphone behaviors shape emotional regulation.
I conducted a mixed-methods study combining diary studies and contextual interviews to understand how people use their phones during moments of stress, boredom, and self-regulation, then translated those findings into design requirements for digital wellbeing interventions.
Analyzed diary study data from 9 participants and contextual interviews with 5 participants.
Synthesized recurring behavioral patterns through affinity diagramming and interpretation sessions.
Developed regulation profiles and translated findings into prioritized design requirements.
